Family worker : Monica Heard
 Monica Heard is the Family Worker for the churches of the Nottingham South Circuit.
Within the West Bridgford Church she works alongside all those who work with children and families.
- She is closely involved in the Parent and Toddler Group, which meets on Wednesday afternoons.
- She leads sessions on parenting (alongside a local health visitor) aimed to encourage and affirm parents in the day-to-day task of bringing up children.
- She is involved in a fortnightly Mums’ Group where Mums share ideas, enjoy a variety of activities and support one another.
- She enjoys organising, with others, events where families can have fun together.
She has started monthly teatime services on the third Sunday of each month where families are encouraged to worship together and enjoy getting to know one another over tea. She works with the Junior Church and in activities aimed to encourage the spiritual development of children.
