About Us
- We are a lively church trying to bring the message of Jesus and to make a meaningful
contribution to the local community.
- We have about 250 members and so represent a wide range of views
- We offer regular Sunday morning and evening worship, and a range of midweek activities
- .We are part of the Methodist Church.
In Britain, the Methodist church is divided administratively into Districts, which are subdivided into
- Circuits.
We belong to the South Nottingham Circuit,
which is part of the Notts & Derby District.
- Additionally, we are part of Churches Together in West Bridgford, a group that works to
promote Christianity in the town by organising events to celebrate major Christian festivals.

Some of the Circuit staff have special responsibility for our church:
Our Minister is
Rev Dr Paul Hill

|
Our Family Workers are
Lynda & Martin Blyth
  |
Our Childrens Workers are
Dee Simpson & Karen Middleton

|
Our main printed communications are
- Our quarterly magazine called VOICE, which provides topical information about the life of our church.
- A weekly news-sheet, with details of immediate events, is available from the door stewards.
- This Internet site, which we try to update regularly
As part of our outreach, we make our premises available to local groups as a service. This provides a link to the community.

Administration and helping the church |
We encourage anyone who wants to use their gifts and skills in the work and life of our church
- Our worship is often led by other ministers or lay (volunteer) preachers from around our Circuit. This means that we share a wide variety of insights, understandings and styles of worship.
- Church Stewards assist the Minister in arranging worship and caring for the day-to-day running of the church.
- Door Stewards make sure everyone is welcomed on arrival and ensure the needs of people with disabilities are met.
- A team of Pastoral Visitors provide personal contact to help everyone feel that they fully belong to the church family.
- Church Council has the legal responsibility for overseeing our affairs.
- There are a host of other roles including providing or arranging the flowers for Sunday,
music and singing, managing the finances, buildings or church office, producing
church publications, running the groups within the church, etc.
If you have a talent you wish to offer we would welcome it
